Training

Our trainer Matt was previously one of only 14 Google Seminar Leaders globally for GA and his new GA4 online course with 18 hours over 6 live sessions will upskill you or your team fast. Learn More >>

GA4 Reporting
& Analysis

We do custom dashboards and Looker / Google Data Studio reports so you can see all your metrics combined.  And we have Power BI and Tableau experts avail too.

Old GA Data Retention

Your old GA3 data will be deleted by Google soon. This means no Year on Year comparison to let you assess current marketing efforts. We’ll retain your data if you need it via  Google Cloud.

Facebook
CAPI

Following the Apple changes which have limited Meta’s ability to know what’s happening with their ad data, we’ve installed Conversion API for many clients to ensure paid social ads run more efficiently.

Server Side Tracking

Cookies are going and privacy for users is becoming vital in many  countries – not just Europe with GDPR. We can set this up for you so that you’re future-proofed across your web tracking.

“We were very happy with the GA4 Migration work that Tinderpoint did. It was done well and the team are experts when it comes to advanced GA4 implementations as well as resolving other challenging web analytics tracking issues we had”

Some Common FAQs

What is this Google Analytics/GA4 Change?

37+Million websites globally using this tool are being forced to upgrade to GA4. If you ever use / need Google Analytics to see what’s happening on your website(s), you need to change and learn how to use the new GA4 system – which is not easy or fast.

The new reporting dashboard is also unlike anything you’ve used before.

If you ignore this / don’t change, no more website data will be tracked for you after1st July 2023.

GA4 is not a minor upgrade but rather a massive change to GA3. It’s very technical for all but the most basic websites and many web developers seriously struggle with it – and not because it’s a new platform. GA4 tracking is just not their technical speciality in most cases.

Google recommends allowing 8 weeks to fully migrate and test GA4 with your new website data.

But Google Said They’ll Upgrade Us Automatically for Free?

From Google email to site owners:  “For any customer who does not set up a GA4 property with basic settings, starting in March 2023, we will configure one with a few basic settings consistent with the existing Universal Analytics property; this includes certain conversion events, Google Ads links, and existing website tags”

So… if you have an extremely basic Google Analytics account and website, you might be fine. For anything else, we’d recommend not trusting the automatic Google tool as your tracking will probably break. Talk to a GA4 expert

Can I Migrate from UA to GA4 Myself?

Yes. While making a new GA4 property using Google's wizard is simple, it’s unlikely to be enough for most websites. It's easy to overlook critical website interactions as well as not bothering to capture your historical web stats data for future commercial analysis.

If you lack the expertise in Google Tag Manager or are unsure about implementing code on your website or changing default options in a new GA4 installation, we’d suggest you hire someone good at GA4.

For optimal GA4 configuration, we suggest using Google Tag Manager. It provides numerous advantages, including streamlined tag management, future-proofing, enhanced interaction tracking, superior testing tools, a versioning system, and more.

Does This Change Impact my Google Ads?

Yes - if your Universal Analytics property and Google Ads accounts are linked.

Google recommends transferring Google Ads links from your Universal Analytics property to your GA4 property.

Then you can either import GA4 conversions (for attribution) or include GA4 audiences in a campaign or ad group (for remarketing purposes)

Will My Old Web Stats Data be Available?

Yes –  but only for a few months. Then Google is deleting it. To keep your  historical data (which we recommend), you must find a data storage solution.  Fortunately, we have simplified this process and can organise things for you.

How Do You Guys Cost a GA4 Migration?

GA4 migration workload depends on the complexity of your existing accounts (Analytics & Tag Manager), the number of views in GA, if you have a bespoke website structure, the number of events, and the reporting dependent on those elements.

New GA4 Features You’ll Love

GA4 Report Icon

Advanced funnel reporting enables you to link behavior, on-page time duration, and page views to create custom funnels.

These funnels are retroactive, allowing for performance analysis over time.

GA4 Audiences

Audiences can be created based on event sequences or the time between events. This is brilliant as it makes Google Ads remarketing a lot more targeted.

GA4 also has better user tracking across devices.

GA4 Predictive Metrics

Predictive metrics help improve content performance and leverage enhanced attribution analysis to gain insights into the origins of your customers and the channels that drive conversions.
