Time sure does fly when you’re king of the Internet. The 16-year history of Google reads like a mind-boggling tale of unrivalled expansion, never-ending updates and world domination. Not to mention some ingenious update names.
From the 2000 milestone which saw 1 billion pages indexed, to the first documented algorithm update that kick-started the link-building craze, right up to the various incarnations of Panda that shook up the SEO world as we knew it.
UK digital agency, Tamar, have published an infographic entitled The Story of Google, as part of their Digital History series, and not only is it neat, it makes for some excellent reminiscing material for reflecting on the early days of search.
