Happy Friday! It’s finally getting wintry outside, can’t you smell Christmas in the air? (Oh, no – that’s frostbite. Best get that checked out…)
We’ve lined up some cracking content from the digital world to put a smile on your face and prepare you for the weekend with our Epic Friday!
Black Friday has become a far-too-real phenomenon recently, crossing the Atlantic from America to Ireland to entice shoppers to get to the shops in time for those coveted Christmas presents. Whether you’re a professional shopaholic or not, Black Friday can be a scary time!
US comedians Nacho Punch have put their own spin on such scary events, as crowds compete for bargains, in their ‘horror-style film trailer below [Warning: Contains some violence]
We’re quite a musical bunch here at TinderPoint, but we’re not planning on releasing a company theme song any time soon. In the meantime, though, this caught our eye, and it pleased both the digital nerd and musician in us! Pianogram is the lovechild of histograms and music, and while you can view pre-prepared pianograms of classics such as Für Elise or Chopsticks, you can also upload any MIDI track to see what it looks like.
Below is what Für Elise, but for more, visit joeycloud.net/v/pianogram.
Let’s face it; only an enviable few are really good when it comes to managing personal finances, and many know the feeling of saving the pennies before payday!
“[t]he prototypical Pennies user is young — no family or kids — has a steady income, and has pretty straightforward recurring expenses, like rent and bills and beer. This kind of user doesn’t need charts or digital ledger balances, he just needs to know if buying that new pair of shoes is going to blow his weekly budget or not”
We’ve taken the time to look at this sleek app, and it’s very straight-forward. There are other free apps available which do the same thing, but what you pay for with Pennies is the design, and also the intentional simplicity.
This single photo of a written note was enough to send geeks, nerds and fanboys (and fangirls!) into an absolute frenzy:

The new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released online later today. At the time of writing this blog post, the trailer still isn’t out yet, but we wait with bated breath. Still, kudos to Bad Robot production company for getting so many retweets and favorites on their viral tweet.
UPDATE: IT HAS LANDED. GEEKS REJOICE.
This week, our only Epic Fail is the most ridiculous, bonkers and downright scary American import that has graced our blessed Irish & British shores: Black Friday.
The event was unsurprisingly trending across the UK and Ireland, and the insane sample tweets show why.
As we leave you with this, we say: Stay safe – wait for Cyber Monday instead!
